Kate Halsey earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2023. Her thesis was centered around the integration of historical and contextual fabric in adaptive reuse. Alongside these studies, she developed extensive construction experience and leadership knowledge through four years of serving as team lead in an internationally award-winning Design-Build project.

Since joining HPA as an associate, Kate has assisted in a wide scope of steps for local projects within HPA’s established West Loop work, as well as its growing presence in Nashville. She is a member of the HPA Preservation Group to further her desire to embrace the past in designing for the future.
